IWR 98 Points: “Another stunning wine from the team at Weathereye. This is a classic Red Mountain Cabernet perfected by winemaker Todd Alexander. Deep, rich dark purple cored with a neon raspberry rim, the nose absolutely pops from the glass with aromas of blue plums, wild huckleberries, crushed blackberry, cassis, vanilla bean, cedary herbs, dried sagebrush, tobacco leaf, and melted chocolate. Grippy on the finish, the tannins need a few years to soften up, but you can feel the potential of the wine with each sip. I love the lime zest note you get at the very back of your palate – it’s incredible. Please give yourself at least 2 years to open this up because it’s going to be spectacular with time. Highly recommended and editor’s choice.”
20/20 points. Rand Sealey Report on Washington Wine: “This is an all-powerful yet refined Cabernet. It displays a nearly opaque ruby-purple color and an intoxicating nose of blackberry, black currant, fig, and black plum, with scents of mulberry, sweet tobacco, cedar, black olive, vanillin, wild violets, and sweet incense. The flavors are bold, almost massive, and mouth-encompassing, with dark fruits that are infused with licorice root and Red Mountain hilltop baked earth. Opulent pressed fruits, roasted walnuts, cassis liqueurs, and integrated fine-grained oak, all extending into a long, firm yet ripe satiny tannin finish.”
