Winery Notes: “The great Sanford & Benedict vineyard almost needs no introduction.  Originally planted in 1971 by Richard Sanford and Michael Benedict.  This vineyard lies in the southwestern section of the Sta. Rita Hills appellation.  Cool ocean breezes keep this site in check year-round.  It benefits from a long growing season and ancient soils to develop deep and complex flavors.  It is a regal wine that will age gracefully but is also accessible today.”

Tasting Notes:  This expressive Pinot Noir with gorgeous aromas of jasmine, boysenberry, and blackberry jam, are followed by notes of pomegranate, rhubarb, and cherry. This fusion of floral, dark, and red fruits sails into the palate and are matched with juicy tannins and a youthful texture. This Pinot Noir ends with richness and with great pleasure.
