FMW 100 Points: “The Wine has a deep garnet-purple color with intense aromatics jumping out the glass – bold and vivacious black cherries, black raspberries, and plum preserves notes plus wafts of red currants, garrigue, menthol, pencil shavings, and wild sage. The wine is full-bodied, the palate has lovely freshness and soft tannins supporting the red and black fruit layers, finishing with long fine-grained tannins and minty kick.”
TWI 99 Points: ” A tad shy to start, it soon unfurls to offer notes of freshly crushed black and red currants, wild blueberries, and iris followed by nuances of anise, forest floor, mint tea, and pencil shavings. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers a very firm frame of exquisitely ripe, fine-grained tannins and wonderful tension supporting the tightly knit black fruit and floral layers, finishing long and minerally. It will take a good 5-10 years to blossom into the real head-turner it promises to be.
