Tasting Notes: ”The Sans Liege “The Offering” (a blend of 42% Grenache, 38% Syrah, and 20% Mourvèdre) is a wine that captures the imagination and challenges expectations, it displays a beautiful purity and depth that is reminiscent of having a summer picnic in an ancient church. Resinous scents of black cherry cola, frankincense, fresh-peeled Clementine orange and vanilla extract lead to a well-structured and balanced palate of curried mix-berry cobbler, turmeric, dark chocolate cocoa nibs and black pepper with rocky, persistent tannins.”
Winemaker Notes: “Sitting atop a wool blanket in the midst of the redwood forest you sip water with muddled raspberries & a sprig of thyme. Slivers of daylight shine down through the towering giants which surround you and the fall breeze brushes your face. It carries scents of sassafras, wild strawberry and tobacco leaves. After weeks of feeling stuck you finally begin to sketch, smelling the graphite from your pencil as it flicks across the page. The forest is replete with inspiration and offers all that you need.”
