The 746 is a blend of 43% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier, and 27% Chardonnay, finished with a very low dosage, at less than a gram per liter which lets the purity of the fruit shine through. Jacquesson stated that 2018 started quite rainy and lasted through Spring but turned around in June, becoming fine and dry, resulting in a particularly early harvest that began on August 30th and finished on September 10th. Jacquesson noted that the vines were in perfect health, and the harvest was abundant with an excellent degree of ripeness and moderate acidity, with the resulting wines being particularly fine and elegant. This vintage has amazing potential, and if we have learned anything from Jacquesson over the years, it is that their numbered series has become incredibly consistent, and 746 is no exception.
