Winery Notes: “Inky and near-black in color, our 2023 The Figure is aromatically complex, with dark red and black fruits, black tea, florals, gravel, smoke, pine resin, and earthy Bordelaise nuances. The palate delivers roasted blackberries, currants, and cassis framed by exotic wood spice and fine-grained tannins. Intense yet lifted, the finish cascades in layers, with freshness that dances over its structure. This wine will reward patience — we recommend decanting if opened before its fifth birthday.

FMW 99 Points: “The 2023 Hobel The Figure is truly a wonderful classic Cabernet that exhibits many of the qualities of this vineyard. The 2023 “The Figure” shows off a black and dark purple hue. On the nose, you are greeted by bright aromas of black stone fruits and a touch of cedar and tobacco leaf.  There is great and bold fruit density on the luscious palette, offering up black fruit – plums, cherries, boysenberries, and a whiff of dark chocolate and toasty vanilla. This youngster is nicely framed by dusty, yet silky tannins.
