Jeb Dunnuck 96 Points: “With a bright straw/green hue the 2021 Chardonnay Lancel Creek Vineyard is from steep west-facing slopes on Goldridge soils planted by Ulises Valdez and takes that next step up in the range with aromas of salted lemon honeydew lemon and ripe pear and vanilla. Medium to full-bodied it offers a supple and lightly glycerin but delicate texture with refined ripe notes and a clean finish. Lovely. Drink 2024-2034.”

James Suckling 95 Points: “Beautifully ripe chardonnay with sliced apples tarte tatin oysters and hints of flint. Medium- to full-bodied. It’s very long and focused. Creamy texture with subtle creme brulee mineral and Meyer lemon notes. Tight and reserved. Montrachet clone. Drink or hold.”

It has pure scents of nectarine quince peel spring honey toast and crème fraîche. The palate is silky detailed and elegant. It balances concentrated honey-nut flavors with firm linear acidity and its chalky mineral character creates even more tension and energy. This dynamic Chardonnay will gain savory complexity in bottle over the next 10-15 years.”
