The 2019 Domaine Curry Cabernet Sauvignon is being hailed as one of the finest of the decade — a great relief since the 2020 vintage was severely impacted by smoke from the fires that ravaged many of California’s wine growing regions. Our Domaine Curry 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is composed of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon,10% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc from our estate vineyards in Calistoga. The initial reviews have been outstanding.
Jeb Dunnuck 94 Points: “Checking in as a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon and the balance Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, the Domaine Curry Cabernet Sauvignon sports a dense purple color as well as a beautifully balanced, full-bodied, elegant style that carries classic crème de cassis fruit as well as notes of tobacco leaf, lead pencil shavings, damp earth, chocolate, and spice. I love this beauty’s elegance, and it has building tannins as well as a solid spine of acidity that keeps it fresh and lively. It’s a joy to drink now with a short decant, yet it will have two decades of overall prime drinking.”
