Paul Lato 2021 “Letters to Europe” Syrah and Grenache Blend Santa Barbara County 97 Points
$114.99
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Points: “A 60/40 split of Syrah and Grenache that comes from the Bien Nacido and Larner vineyards, the 2021 Letters to Europe offers up a rocking bouquet blackberries, ground pepper, spring flowers, and leather that needs air to show at its best. This spicy, complex, medium to full-bodied effort has terrific intensity, a stacked mid-palate, and ripe tannins that carry through the finish. It’s a head-turning beauty, that’s for sure.”
Cobb 2021 Chardonnay “H. Klopp Vineyard” Sonoma Coast 97 Points
$69.99
Robert Parker 97 Points: “The 2021 Chardonnay H. Klopp Vineyard, from vines planted in classic Goldridge soils, is bursting with alluring, layered aromas: quince paste, honey, and white peach are complemented by accents of roasted almonds and graham cracker, and the palate matches that intensity with its highly concentrated, honeyed flavors. All that flavor is supported by a spine of vibrant acidity, and a touch of textural grip drives a very long finish. This is so delicious! 300 cases were made. “

Aftermath 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Napa Valley 97 Points
$89.99
FMW 97 Points: This 100% Estate-grown Cabernet (96.3% CS and 3.7% PV), offers up an amazing bouquet of classic dark Cabernet fruit that jumps out of the glass upon impact. This 2019 youngster is lush, full in bodied and surprisingly well-balanced. The wine is multi-layered loaded with gorgeous black currant, dark chocolate, a whiff of anise, cassis and a touch of spice on the opulent palate. Extremely well-balanced and in-sync wine that will please the big Cab lover. This is a killer wine, but unfortunately a very limited production.

Vinous 97 Points: “The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Cimarossa Vineyard is such a classic Howell Mountain wine. Scorched earth, leather, licorice, tobacco, licorice and gravel lend striking aromatic nuance to this virile, potent Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2018 is a real stunner. Its breadth, power and resonance are thrilling.”

Clarice 2022 Pinot Noir “Rosella’s Vineyard” Santa Lucia Highlands 96 Points
$99.99
Jeb Dunnuck 96 Points: “The 2022 Pinot Noir Rosella’s Vineyard comes from a Grand Cru site in the heart of the Santa Lucia Highlands. It has a vivid bouquet of red and black raspberry fruits, black tea, spring flowers, and orange blossom that opens up nicely with time in the glass. This carries to a medium-bodied Pinot Noir with a seamless, layered texture, a beautiful sense of purity and precision, and a great finish. As with the appellation release, it will unquestionably offer pleasure in its youth, yet I suspect it will be even better with a year or two of bottle age.”
Paul Lato 2021 “Stand by Me” Pinot Noir, Drum Canyon Vineyard, Sta. Rita Hills 97 Points
$99.99
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Points: “Darker cherries, black tea, leafy herbs, and sweet spice all emerge from the 2021 Pinot Noir Stand By Me Drum Canyon Vineyard, a layered, medium-bodied Pinot Noir revealing a terrific underlying sense of minerality, a focused, elegant mouthfeel, and a great finish. It has an age-worthy, nicely structured, balanced style that will benefit from a year or two of bottle age and evolve gracefully through 2031+.”
Pulido Walker 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder, Napa 99 Points
$259.99
Jeb Dunnuck 99 Points: “A bigger, richer, more structured wine, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Mt. Veeder Estate Vineyard has brilliant black fruits, tobacco, iron, and subtle smoke-like nuances in a full-bodied, concentrated, layered package. This is pure Mountain Cabernet genius, and while it’s far from unapproachable today, it will benefit from 3-5 years of bottle age. It’s up with the crème de la crème of the vintage and should be snatched up by readers.”
Alma Fria 2021 Plural Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
$44.99
Paul Lato 2021 “Cinématique” Syrah Larner Vineyard, Ballard Canyon 97 Points
$114.99
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Points: “Offering gorgeous ripe cherries, blueberries, black peppercorns, and sappy flowers, as well as just a touch of gamey, bacon-like nuances, the 2021 Syrah Cinematique Larner Vineyard hits the palate with medium to full body, a soft, seamless texture, and ultra-fine tannins. As usual, it’s a more approachable, polished Syrah compared to the Bien Nacido release. Drink bottles any time over the coming decade.”
DuMOL 2021 Chardonnay “Wester Reach” Russian River Valley 95 Points
$74.99
James Suckling 95 Points: “A structured and layered white with apple, light honey and acacia aromas and flavors. Medium to full body. Creamy mouthfeel. Phenolic texture that runs through the wine. Flavorful yet subtle finish. Touch of flint and cedar. Drink or hold.”
Paul Lato 2021 “Seabiscuit” Pinot Noir, Zotovich Vineyard, Sta. Rita Hills 96 Points
$90.00
Jeb Dunnuck 96 Points: “Lighter ruby-hued, the 2021 Pinot Noir Seabiscuit Zotovich Vineyard comes from a great site in the Sta. Rita Hills and was destemmed and raised in new French oak. Wild strawberries, raspberries, rose petals, baking spices, and loamy soil notes all define the aromatics, and it’s medium to full-bodied, with a pure, layered, incredibly elegant mouthfeel and fine-grained tannins. It will evolve for 10-12 years, although it’s fabulous today as well.”
