Jeb Dunnuck 97 Points: “A deeper, more saturated purple/magenta color, the 2022 Zinfandel Mancini is ripe with aromas of blackberry compote, cigar box, wild forest herbs, and sweet tobacco. Full-bodied, it has great acidity driving the wine, but it’s fantastically balanced with a mouthwatering persistence and retains its incredible structure, with ripe tannins and a long, long finish. This is stunning. Drink 2026-2040.”
Winemaker Notes: “Medium-dark to dark ruby-garnet. Macerated cherries, ripe blood orange, and a hint of Jolly Ranchers greet the nose. Full-bodied but not at all ponderous thanks to brisk acidity that keeps the palate clean and refreshed. Flavors of cherries, raspberries, blueberries, and even nectarine, carry through the long and zesty finish. Dang, is this ever lip-smackin’ good! Certainly drinkable now but peak enjoyment should be between 2026 and 2030.”
