TWI 100 Points: “Deep garnet-purple in color, this wine has shut down slightly since I last tasted it a year ago, featuring a complex array of ground coffee, garrigue, charcuterie, crushed rocks, and black olives scents over a core of blueberry preserves and stewed blueberry. The densely packed, full-bodied palate is tightly wound with bright black and blue fruit layers, supported by firm, grainy tannins and a lively backbone, finishing long and mineral-laced. This is one of the greatest examples of Mourvèdre in the world— simply stunning! 490 cases and a few magnums were made. ”
