The Trestle Glen Vineyard is grown using sustainable farming practices. The vineyard is located near Glen Ellen in Sonoma Valley between the Mayacamas Mountains and Sonoma Mountain. The unique microclimate, featuring underground natural hot springs and gentle ocean breeze, help prevent frost in late winter and early spring. During the summer and fall, warm days tempered by gentle afternoon winds off the Sonoma Mountain and cool nights provide slow even ripening. The hillside blocks have sparse gravely volcanic soil that ensure low vigor, low yield, and small concentrated berries.
Winemaker Notes: Shades of dark ruby red, this classic Cabernet Sauvignon boasts aromas of violet, cassis, plum, and black cherry wrapped in an oak bouquet of toasty vanilla, mocha, caramel, and nutmeg. Rich and well-rounded luscious flavors of black cherry and berry combine with supple tannin on a lingering finish.
Tasting Notes: The Hillside Reserve is lush and opulent, and full in body. The wine offers up aromas of crème de cassis, blueberry jam, sweet spice, lavender that jump out of the glass upon impact. The lush wine dances over the palate like an elegant ballerina in Swan Lake, and continues to grow as time “dances” by. This exotic wine finishes with silky tannins. An amazing and super-expressive Cabernet Sauvignon
