Cobb 2018 Pinot Noir Doc’s Ranch “Swan and Calera” Selection” 97 Points
$95.00
Robert Parker 97 Points: “The 2018 Pinot Noir Doc’s Ranch Swan & Calera Selection is scented of red cherries and cranberries with tones of bitter citrus, tobacco leaves, dried flowers and Angostura bitters. Light-bodied, silty and incredibly fresh, its slim frame holds a surprising amount of pure, crunchy fruits, and it finishes with tremendous length and spicy layers. The Swan clone fruit included in this cuvée comes from vines planted in 1995, and the Calera clones were planted in 2011. It’s another 2018 from the Cobb portfolio that offers both ageability and immediate appeal.”

$41.99
Mark Aubert’s Tasting Notes: “The alluring 2018 UV-SL is a kaleidoscope of apple oil, lemon confit, crème patissière, and almond croissant lined with a subtle saline note and a touch of talc. With air the tight-knit core grows to reveal seductive flavors of praline, stone fruit preserves, and white flower. Full-bodied and opulent, the compelling UV-SL finishes long and pure. This wine has more to reveal and will age gracefully for 10+ years. The wine is slightly hazy showing our commitment to minimal intervention winemaking.”
Bevan 2021 Sugarloaf Proprietary Red Napa Valley ~ 100 Points
$225.00 $214.99
Robert Parker 100 Points: “The terrific 2021 Proprietary Red Sugarloaf Mountain is a 60-40 blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot from this vineyard in southern Napa. Vaguely floral and leafy, loaded with purple raspberries and cherries, this is really complex, with lovely fruit. Full-bodied, supple, silky and seamless, it finishes long and elegant.”
Paul Lato 2021 “Magic Moment” Hyde Vineyard Pinot Noir Carneros 96 Points
$114.90
Jeb Dunnuck 96 Points: “The 2021 Pinot Noir Magic Moments Hyde Vineyard was all destemmed and brought up in 80% new French oak. This medium ruby-hued Carneros Pinot Noir has fabulous aromatics of wild strawberries, raspberries, underbrush, and white pepper. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it’s another seamless, pure, incredibly polished 2021 offering ripe, integrated tannins and a great finish.”
Pisoni 2021 “Estate” Pinot Noir, Santa Lucia Highlands – 96+ Points IN MAGNUM
$259.99
Jeb Dunnuck 96+ Points: “The 2021 Pinot Noir comes entirely from the Pisoni Vineyard in the southern portion of the Santa Lucia Highlands. It was only partially destemmed and was raised in 68% new French oak. It’s a truly gorgeous effort offering serious aromatics of cassis, darker raspberries, spicy oak, graphite, and crushed stone. Incredibly pure, vibrant, and precise aromatically, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a stacked mid-palate, lots of building tannins, and a great finish. This concentrated, focused, age-worthy beauty needs at least 2-3 years to integrate its structure and tannins and will evolve brilliantly over the following decade. Bravo!

As seamless as they come on the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, has a pure, elegant mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, and a great finish. It’s another heavenly Grenache from this talented winemaker that readers will love. It too should keep for a decade.”
