Overlooking the Pacific Ocean and surrounding Rosemary Talley’s home, Rosemary’s Vineyard is the coolest site at Talley Vineyards, has distinctive chalky shale soils and produces chardonnay marked by refreshing acidity. It produces our most age worthy and highly regarded wines.
Tasting Notes: Golden yellow in appearance, the Rosemary’s Chardonnay offers aromas of peach skin, lychee fruit, orange blossom, and a hint of toast. On the palate, notes of green apple and mandarin rind are bolstered by exceptional acid and luscious salinity. Enjoy this refreshing Chardonnay with fresh scallops and avocado or caprese risotto.
Jeb Dunnuck 95 Points: “Stone fruits, toasted spice, white flowers, and a kiss of salty minerality all emerge from the 2018 Chardonnay Rosemary’s Vineyard. Beautifully balanced, it has a tight, vibrant mouthfeel, good acidity, and a great finish. It will benefit from a year or two of bottle age and cruise for over a decade.”
