Winemaker Notes: “The aromatics on the 2020 Grenache Blanc are punchy and brilliant, as the nose suggests a wine of tremendous posture. The first impression is crushed limestone and white flowers, giving way to underpinnings of blood orange, honeysuckle and sandalwood. This wine’s clean, platinum hue and lithe aromatics only begin to tell the story of its deep, complex palate presence of weight and electric tension; a tight balance of flowers, fruit and dirt.”
Tasting Notes: An outstanding Grenache Blanc, the Skinner Vineyards is 100% Grenache Blanc sourced from two vineyards 64% Stoney Creek Ranch (Estate) and 36% Swansborough Sporting a burnished gold color, it exhibits a rich, round array of orange blossom, toasted spice, hazelnut, and wild herbs that flows to a medium+ bodied white that is beautifully balanced, has integrated, and a rich texture that carries through the finish. Very food friendly, yet with more than enough interest to stand on its own, this solid white should be enjoyed over the coming 2-3 years.
