Jeb Dunnuck 98 Points: “A new cuvée in the lineup, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Wappo Hill comes from vines in the Stags Leap District (not far from Realm) and it’s another pure, elegant, yet textured wine in the lineup. Pretty cassis, violets, white flowers, and a touch of minerality define this youthful, already complex, elegant 2019. It shows the cooler style of Stags Leap with its perfumed, elegant style but still brings plenty of fruit.”
Robert Parker 97 Points: “The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Wappo Hill is a new label for Schrader. Deep purple-black colored, it tumbles out of the glass with gregarious scents of mulberries, redcurrant jelly, blackberry pie and cassis, plus hints of fragrant earth, bouquet garni, cumin seed and pencil lead. The full-bodied palate has a great backbone of firm, grainy tannins and bold freshness supporting the taut, muscular black fruits, finishing long with a lively skip in its step”
