Unwritten 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley 94 Points
$184.99 $179.99
Jeb Dunnuck 94 Points: “A step up over the 2018, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is gorgeous juice, offering lots of cassis, tapenade, chocolaty oak, and spicy notes in a round, lush, sexy package. The tannins are first-rate, and this will last for 15 years. It’s well worth checking out.”
Pisoni 2021 Estate Chardonnay, Santa Lucia Highlands 96+ Points
$105.00 $94.99
Jeb Dunnuck 96+ Points: “Another brilliant wine from this family, the 2021 Chardonnay comes all from the estate Pisoni Vineyard in the southern part of the Santa Lucia Highlands. Unfortunately, it’s made in tiny quantities, but I consistently think it ranks with the finest Chardonnay in California. Honeyed lemon, pear, flowers, crushed stone, and a beautiful kiss of toasted walnuts define the aromatics, and it’s medium-bodied, vibrant, and elegant, with a liquid rock-like sense of minerality on the finish. It plays in the more elegant, focused, lengthy style of the vintage and is slightly closed and tight at present. Give bottles another 2-3 years in the cellar and enjoy through 2031. It’s a beautiful Chardonnay.”

Cornell 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Sonoma 97+ Points
$189.99
Vinous 97+ Points: The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is super-elegant and refined, but also somewhat closed following its bottling, which is not uncommon for mountain wines. That period of stubbornness seems to be part of the evolution here, as the wine tends to only blossom after a few years. Today, the 2019 is marked by its brilliant upper register, striking balance and vibrancy. It is another compelling wine from Cornell.”
Covenant 2020 Cabernet Sauvingon Napa Valley (Kosher Wine)
$114.99
Cobb 2019 Pinot Noir Rice Spivak Sonoma Coast 97+ Points
$99.99
Robert Parker 97+ Points: “The 2019 Pinot Noir Rice Spivak Vineyard was made with about 40% whole clusters and matured for 22 months in 40% new French oak. It has a medium ruby color and pure aromas of cranberries, raspberries and rhubarb—those dark red fruit characteristics of Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir in the 2019 vintage—plus accents of orange peel, Angostura bitters, moss and forest floor. The medium-bodied palate manages a slender frame and very intense flavors, supported by an abundance of silty tannins and juicy acidity driving the very long, very layered finish.”

DuMOL 2021 Pinot Noir “Wester Reach” Russian River Valley 95 Points
$85.00
James Suckling 95 Points: “A wine with a lot of back end, with dark fruits of blackberry and cherry. Ripe strawberry. Hints of toasted oak and smoke. It’s full and layered with very firm and polished tannins. Very serious and real, and shows the structure of the vintage. Some chocolate. Strawberry pie, too. Drinkable but two to three years of age will help it”
Castalia 2021 Pinot Noir “Rochioli Vineyard” Russian River Valley 96 Points
$69.99
FMW 96 Points: “The 2021 Castalia Pinot Noir “Rochioli” is a tiny production gem sourced from what is the equivalent of a “grand cru” vineyard in Burgundy. The wine shows a ruby, almost translucent color, and has intense notes of black cherries, plums, violets, and a whiff of earthiness. This youngster is a real crowd-pleaser, lush, yet elegant, with amazing finesse yet still powerful and intense. This is an amazingly well-made wine that will benefit from short-term cellaring, or a good decant, and should cellar well for a good 10 years.
Dragonette 2020 Pinot Noir Sanford and Benedict Vineyard Santa Barbara
$79.99
Jeb Dunnuck 96 Points: “The 2019 Pinot Noir Sanford & Benedict Vineyard was 80% destemmed, which is a lot of stems by this estate’s standards, and spent 16 months in 40% new barrels. It’s another exotic, complex, incredibly satisfying Pinot Noir in the lineup that offers ripe red and black fruits, black tea, orange blossom, and spice-laced aromas and flavors. I love its texture, and it has terrific mid-palate depth, ripe tannins, and a great, great finish.”
Paul Lato 2021 “Goldberg Variations No 4” Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay Carneros, Napa 99 Points
$99.99
Jeb Dunnuck 99 Points: “From one of the iconic sites in Carneros, the 2021 Chardonnay Goldberg Variations No. 4 Hyde Vineyard will give a great vintage from Aubert a run for its money. Ripe pineapple, honeyed lemon, candle wax, green almond, and toasted bread all define the aromatics, and it’s full-bodied, with a pure, seamless mouthfeel, tons of richness, and a great finish. It’s one of the finest Chardonnays in this report. Drink bottles over the coming 7-8 years.”
Carol Shelton 2022 Viognier “Wild Thing” Placer County 92 Points

Melis Family 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, Rutherford Napa Valley

Hendry 2021 Chardonnay “Barrel Feremented” Napa Valley
$37.99
Cervantes 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon MMXVIII – 97 Points
$159.99
Robert Parker 97 Points: “The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon MMXIII is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon (86%), Malbec (9%) and Cabernet Franc (5%). Deep garnet-purple in color, it leaps from the glass with vibrant notes of crushed blackcurrants, wild blueberries and ripe blackberries, plus hints of menthol, violets and dark chocolate. The medium to full-bodied palate is jam-packed with juicy black fruits and is wonderfully plush, featuring a lively backbone with loads of spiciness coming through on the long finish..”

Keplinger 2019 El Diablo Grenache Russian River Valley – 97 Points
$79.99
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Points: “More subtle and elegant, with slightly less power but possibly more complexity, the 2019 Grenache El Diablo has a beautiful nose of ripe cherry and strawberry fruits as well as herbes de Provence, spring flowers, and baking spices. As seamless as they come on the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, has a pure, elegant mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, and a great finish. It’s another heavenly Grenache from this talented winemaker that readers will love. It too should keep for a decade.”
