Jeb Dunnuck 92 Points: “I continue to love the whites from Curt, and the 2022 Cotes du Coast showed beautifully. Honeyed peach, apricot, toasted bread, and some subtle nutty, earthy nuances all define the aromatics, and it’s medium-bodied, with a round, layered texture and a great finish. This richer, opulent white is geared for the dinner table and is impeccably made. I love it.”
Winery Notes: “ The afternoon was filled with books & a picnic in the seaside meadow. Satiated by quince & warm buttered sourdough sprinkled with fleur de sel – honeycomb, apricots & Marcona almonds, you must have dozed off. You hear a gentle breeze rustling pages nearby and lift your head. The air smells of lime zest and the golden-hued strawflowers that surround you. Blend: 47% Viognier, 18% Marsanne, 15% Grenache Blanc, 14% Roussanne, 6% Clairette.”
Vineyard Sources: The Côtes du Coast fruit was sourced from the Bien Nacido, White Hawk, Alta Colina, Last Frontier, Watch Hill and Kopack vineyards
Tasting Notes: The Côtes du Coast offers more exotic pineapple, tangerine, marmalade, and honeyed notes, with a pure, medium to full-bodied, elegant, incredibly pure style on the palate. This is a sensational white that is underpriced in today’s market. The wines aged in 26% New French oak, 54% neutral French oak, and 20% stainless steel.
