James Suckling 97 Points: The aromas of strawberry and raspberry with conifer and hints of bark are impressive. Full- bodied, but so reserved and linear with super long, tightened tannins that melt into the wine. 100% whole cluster. Drinkable now, but much better to wait a year or three.”
Vinous 94 Points: “The 2019 Pinot Noir Sea Field emerges from a single block in Hellenthal, one of the top sites in Fort Ross-Seaview. There is more vibrancy and power here than in the Royal St. Robert, as fruit and tannin vie for attention. Time in the glass brings out more ethereal qualities that are hugely appealing. I would cellar the 2019 for at least a few years.”
