Thomas Rivers Brown Notes: “This is a dark, spicy, complex wine that shows the robust character of the 2017 growing season. The wine displays a completely opaque dark purple hue in the glass with a garnet halo. Layered aromas of leather, loam, nutmeg, and cassis reduction emerge from the glass in waves. There is a rich, red and black fruit entry on the front of the palate, followed by more structural and terrene notes through the core of the middle. The mouthfeel of the wine has a consistent, fine tannin structure that carries all the way through to a floral and mouth-watering finish.”
Jeb Dunnuck 94 Points: “The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is another medium to full-bodied, beautifully textured 2017. Blue fruits, toasted spices, and smoked tobacco notes give way to a seamless, polished 2017 offering terrific tannins, a pure, layered mouthfeel, and a great finish.”
Tasting Notes: Amazingly intense wine from start to finish. Dark purple hue and stunning aromas of black stone fruit, chocolate and a touch of toastiness greet you on impact. This is an extraordinarily well-crafted wine that is lush on the palate, loaded with gorgeous jammy black stone fruits, chocolate, a touch of espresso and toasty vanilla that are in-sync with the right touch of acid. The wine lingers on the finish for a good 30 seconds!
