Turley 2021 Zinfandel Juvenile California 92 Points
$33.00 $29.95
Wine Spectator 92 Points: ” Jammed with fresh, lively fruit, this Zinfandel abounds with black raspberry, spice, and orange zest accents that linger on the long, supple finish. Drink now through 2032.”
Vinous 90 Points: “The 2021 Zinfandel Juvenile, Turley’s young vines bottling, is terrific. Super-ripe dark cherry, plum, spice, mocha, chocolate, tobacco, and dried herbs give the Juvenile tons of flavor intensity to fill out its plush contours. This racy Zinfandel is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. Best of all, it will be easy on the budget, too. “

It will benefit from a year of bottle age (you’ll be forgiven for opening bottles today) and will keep through 2031.”

Colgin 2018 Cariad Proprietary Red Blend Napa Valley 100 Points
$950.00 $799.99
Vinous 100 Points: : “The 2018 Cariad is breathtaking right out of the gate. What a wine! Bright acids and beams of underlying structure give the Cariad tons of energy that really drives its feel. Effusive and vibrant in the glass, with tons of pedigree, Cariad is drop-dead gorgeous in 2018. Winemaker Allison Tauziet opted not to use Petit Verdot in this vintage, choosing instead to use a bit more Franc. I can’t really say the wine is missing the Petit Verdot, while the Franc seems to give added aromatic explosiveness. Then again, all of this fruit is sourced from David Abreu’s Madrona Ranch, a stellar site with a stunning array of clones, including some pretty magical Franc.”

Cobb 2021 Chardonnay “H. Klopp Vineyard” Sonoma Coast 97 Points
$69.99
Robert Parker 97 Points: “The 2021 Chardonnay H. Klopp Vineyard, from vines planted in classic Goldridge soils, is bursting with alluring, layered aromas: quince paste, honey, and white peach are complemented by accents of roasted almonds and graham cracker, and the palate matches that intensity with its highly concentrated, honeyed flavors. All that flavor is supported by a spine of vibrant acidity, and a touch of textural grip drives a very long finish. This is so delicious! 300 cases were made. “

Cobb 2019 Pinot Noir Rice Spivak Sonoma Coast 97+ Points
$99.99
Robert Parker 97+ Points: “The 2019 Pinot Noir Rice Spivak Vineyard was made with about 40% whole clusters and matured for 22 months in 40% new French oak. It has a medium ruby color and pure aromas of cranberries, raspberries and rhubarb—those dark red fruit characteristics of Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir in the 2019 vintage—plus accents of orange peel, Angostura bitters, moss and forest floor. The medium-bodied palate manages a slender frame and very intense flavors, supported by an abundance of silty tannins and juicy acidity driving the very long, very layered finish.”
The Walls 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon “Curiositas“ Red Mountain, Washington 96 Points
$89.99 $79.95
96 Points Jeb Dunnuck: Coming from Red Mountain and 83% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Cabernet Franc brought up in 80% new French oak, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Curiositas offers more red and black fruits to go with classic Red Mountain minerality, notes of graphite and tobacco, full-bodied richness, and building, firm, yet ripe tannins. It’s going to need 3-5 years of bottle age, but it’s a classic expression of this terroir.

Hudson 2021 Chardonnay “Estate” Carneros Napa Valley 97+ Points
$79.99
FMW 97 Points: The 2021 Hudson Estate Chardonnay is a lush, deep, and concentrated youngster that wows you from the start. The wine’s bold aromas jump out of the glass. On the palate, you’ll encounter lush viscosity and tantalizing richness. The wine is loaded with bold flavors of lemon confit, marzipan, fresh-cut flowers, chamomile, and almonds. This Chardonnay is very statuesque and over-delivers from start to finish.
Keplinger 2019 El Diablo Grenache Russian River Valley – 97 Points
$79.99
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Points: “More subtle and elegant, with slightly less power but possibly more complexity, the 2019 Grenache El Diablo has a beautiful nose of ripe cherry and strawberry fruits as well as herbes de Provence, spring flowers, and baking spices. As seamless as they come on the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, has a pure, elegant mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, and a great finish. It’s another heavenly Grenache from this talented winemaker that readers will love. It too should keep for a decade.”
Dragonette 2021 PInot Noir “Radian” Santa Barbara – 97 Points
