Wine Spectator 94 Points: “Powerfully structured and lusciously spiced, with firm tannins and acidity supporting the dark plum, cherry pastry and mocha flavors that are broad and rich-tasting. Creamy midpalate, with a long finish filled with savory chocolate accents. Drink now through 2026. —K.M.”
Jeb Dunnuck 95 Points (2018) : “Rocking levels of blackcurrants, cassis, black cherries, graphite, spicy oak, and violets emerge from the 2018 Merlot. This beauty is a ripe, sexy, full-bodied Merlot that stays lively, fresh, and elegant, with a solid spine of acidity. It has the purity of fruit that’s the hallmark of the 2018 vintage and is going to evolve nicely for 10-12 years, although I see no need to delay gratification either.”
Winery Notes 2019 Merlot: “Boysenberry, baker’s chocolate and black truffle suffused with sterling rose and lifted floral sweetness, our 2019 Merlot is rapturous. Juicy and aromatic with a touch of briar and native acidity the wine is fine-limbed, fragrant, and fresh through the finish.”
