Cobb 2021 Chardonnay “H. Klopp Vineyard” Sonoma Coast 97 Points
$69.99
Robert Parker 97 Points: “The 2021 Chardonnay H. Klopp Vineyard, from vines planted in classic Goldridge soils, is bursting with alluring, layered aromas: quince paste, honey, and white peach are complemented by accents of roasted almonds and graham cracker, and the palate matches that intensity with its highly concentrated, honeyed flavors. All that flavor is supported by a spine of vibrant acidity, and a touch of textural grip drives a very long finish. This is so delicious! 300 cases were made. “

Rich, full-bodied, and concentrated, it has a great texture, polished tannins, and a great finish. This is another wine from this estate that readers should snatch up.”

This 2019 youngster is lush, full in bodied and surprisingly well-balanced. The wine is multi-layered loaded with gorgeous black currant, dark chocolate, a whiff of anise, cassis and a touch of spice on the opulent palate. Extremely well-balanced and in-sync wine that will please the big Cab lover. This is a killer wine, but unfortunately a very limited production.

$399.99 $389.99
Jeb Dunnuck 98 Points: “A new cuvée in the lineup, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Wappo Hill comes from vines in the Stags Leap District (not far from Realm) and it’s another pure, elegant, yet textured wine in the lineup. Pretty cassis, violets, white flowers, and a touch of minerality define this youthful, already complex, elegant 2019. It shows the cooler style of Stags Leap with its perfumed, elegant style but still brings plenty of fruit.”

Unwinding in the glass with a lovely bouquet of Meyer lemon, pastry cream, yellow pear, dried white flowers, and shortbread, it’s full-bodied, powerful, and vinous, with a textural attack that segues into a deep and incisive mid-palate, complemented by an elegant pinpoint mousse. Long and penetrating, this is a beautifully balanced Champagne from this promising emerging talent”
