Winery Notes: “The beginning of the 2019 growing season in Napa Valley was defined by copious rainfall and late soil moisture. The long, warm summer saw very few extreme heat events, with foggy mornings setting the stage for vibrant and expressive wines. The long, relatively mild finish to the season helped to preserve freshness and finesse in the fruit with abundant hang time resulting in great color, structure and soft tannins. All in all, exceptional fruit with bright acidity and great texture promises a fabulous vintage. “
Winemaker Tasting Notes: “Our 2019 FACETS Cabernet Sauvignon is concentrated and rich, with bright fruit tones of raspberry and cassis across the palate. Notes of cloves and cocoa add to the complexity. The finish is long with elegant and soft tannins.”
Tasting Notes: The flavors are bright and nuanced throughout. Bright red cherry, plum, flowers, mint and sweet spices are pushed forward. Supple, silky and nuanced, the 2014 will drink nicely pretty much upon release. The vibrancy and purity to the flavors here is notable.
