Jeb Dunnuck 97 Points: “The 2022 Pinot Noir The Goddess pours a deep magenta color with a touch of purple and comes from a remote vineyard farmed by Paul Hobbs at 500-600 feet elevation close to the ocean. In the glass, it takes on gorgeous notes of raspberry liqueur, pressed flowers, and fresh forest earth, all very pure and refined. It’s fantastic on the palate, with a plush, refined texture, a medium to full-bodied feel, and an exceptionally long finish. It’s darn good now but it will drink well over the next 10-15 years.
Bibiana’s Notes: “Continuing to showcase the immense potential of this coastal site, this stunning Pinot Noir harnesses both power and finesse within its deep ruby core. At the forefront, intoxicating notes of cherry, raspberries, and orange peel open the path to floral notes of rose petals and Meyer lemon blossoms. A mouthwatering texture and luscious tannins coat the palate with flavors of red fruit, spiced plum, and blood orange, combined with layers of toasted vanilla, cedar, and fresh sage. This wine possesses remarkable acidity and fine-grained tannin which will allow for pure enjoyment in its youth, and will allow the wine to age gracefully in bottle.”
