This Cabernet was sourced from one of the most historic and pedigreed sites in Stags Leap. An alluring wine that is dense, plush and beautifully layered in the glass. Bright aromatics play off the super-ripe, racy fruit in a wine that conveys the essence of the vintage and this site to great effect. Hints of pomegranate and white flowers add a decidedly exotic touch to the explosive finish.
Jeb Dunnuck 98 Points: “From a site in Stags Leap, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Regusci Vineyard offers up an iron, almost bloody vibe in its assorted dark fruits, chocolate, crushed stone, and violet-tinged aromas and flavors. Hitting the palate with full-bodied richness, I love its tannins, and it has flawless balance as well as a great finish.”
Winemaker Notes: “A dark, exotic Cabernet Sauvignon nearly splitting at the seams with fruit and spice notes. The wine exhibits a completely opaque dark purple hue in the glass with a violet halo. Layered aromas suggest black currant, pine bough, pencil shavings and fresh leather. The dense, concentrated palate is marked by macerated blackberry, plum reduction, baking spices, loam, cocoa nib and crushed river rock. This big, complex wine will show it’s true colors after being decanted or with a few years in the cellar.”
