Winery Notes: “When we first started sourcing grapes from Steve and Betsy Moulds in 2003, we knew we were on to something special. They, along with their foreman Roberto Juarez, farm their 9 acres meticulously and with passion so it was no surprise that Steve was named Grape Grower of the Year in 2018 by the Napa Valley Grapegrowers Association. For a description of the wine, we think Antonio Galloni said it best in his review (below).
96 Points ~Antonio Galloni: One of the highlights in this range, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Moulds Vineyard is a total knock-out. Rich, sumptuous and super-expressive, the 2015 Moulds has so much to offer. Crème de cassis, mint, lavender, spice and blueberry pie all give the Moulds a decidedly cool, savory personality that is typical of the wines from Oak Knoll. Even with all of its intensity, the 2016 preserves terrific nuance and energy throughout. I loved it.”
