Billecart Salmon Brut Sous Bois Champagne 94 Points IN MAGNUM
$214.99
Robert Parker 92+ Points: “The latest release of Billecart’s NV Brut Sous Bois is excellent, unwinding in the glass with notes of lemon oil, crisp stone fruit, buttery pastry and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and elegantly vinous, with chalky phenolic structure and an enlivening pillowy mousse, it’s impressively deep and concentrated, with fine tension and grip. Early renditions of this cuvée tended to be at their best on release, but this impressive effort appears to be built to age.”
Detert 2019 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Oakville Napa Valley 95+ Points
$109.99
Vinous 95+ Points: “The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is another fabulous wine from Detert. It is a bit reticent today, but that should not be an issue in time. This classically built, medium to full-bodied Napa Valley Cabernet offers tons of depth as well as structure. It’s another super example of this sector of Oakville. The 2019 is not an immediate wine, though, so readers should plan on being patient.”
Aftermath 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Napa Valley 97 Points
$89.99
FMW 97 Points: This 100% Estate-grown Cabernet (96.3% CS and 3.7% PV), offers up an amazing bouquet of classic dark Cabernet fruit that jumps out of the glass upon impact. This 2019 youngster is lush, full in bodied and surprisingly well-balanced. The wine is multi-layered loaded with gorgeous black currant, dark chocolate, a whiff of anise, cassis and a touch of spice on the opulent palate. Extremely well-balanced and in-sync wine that will please the big Cab lover. This is a killer wine, but unfortunately a very limited production.
Dragonette 2021 PInot Noir “Radian” Santa Barbara – 97 Points
$79.99
Limerick Lane 2021 Zinfandel 1910 Block, Russian River Valley 97 Points
$71.99 $67.99
Vinous 97 Points: “The 2021 Zinfandel 1910 Block emerges from the oldest vines on the property. Dense, dark, and beguiling, the 2021 packs a serious punch. Succulent black cherry, blackberry, spice, rose petal, pomegranate, and blood orange saturate the palate. The 2021 is distinguished by its density, power, and resonance. This is the essence of Limerick Lane. What a wine!”
Keever 2019 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
$150.00 $144.99
Nid Tissé 2022 Pinot Noir “Radian Vineyard” Santa Rita Hills 97 Points
$89.99 $84.99
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Points: “The 2022 Pinot Noir Radian Vineyard is also off-the-hook good and shows the talent of this winemaker with reds as well as whites. Black raspberries, crushed stone, pressed flowers, and some background black tea notes all define the aromatics, and it’s medium to full-bodied, has a seamless, elegant mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. Coming all from the Radian Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills, all destemmed, and aged 12 months in 18% new oak, it’s going to deliver the goods for 7-8 years at a minimum.”
Kosta Brown 2021 Chardonnay One-Sixteen, Russian River Valley
$114.99
No Girls 2019 Syrah, La Paciencia Walla Walla 97 Points
$140.00 $129.99
Sanguis 2019 The Bossman Syrah based Red Blend 96 Points
$94.99
Jeb Dunnuck 95 Points: “The 2018 Bossman is also Syrah-dominated (70%) yet is a more eclectic blend that includes 10% each of Viognier, Grenache, and Cabernet Franc. It saw roughly 30% stems and the standard, longer élevage favored by Matthias, spending 25 months in 35% new barrels. I love the purity of fruit here, and it has a perfumed bouquet of blueberries, cherries, violets, and ground pepper as well as this Côte Rôtie-like sense of minerality. Medium to full-bodied, pure, and layered, it has the class to drink well today yet also evolve for 10-15 years. It’s a stunning Santa Ynez Syrah blend.”
La Sirena 2021 Chardonnay, Russian River Valley 96 Points
$79.99
FMW 96 Points: “The 2021 La Sirena Chardonnay, Russian River offers up flinty and bright fruit aromatics. This lush, full-bodied wine showcases an elegant body loaded withs pure fruit, lime zest, green apple, umami richness, and a whiff of minearlity. The wine offers both power and elegance. Bright, freshly styled crushed white flowers, more apple fruit and a touch of toasty vanilla are a nice crescendo for this great youngster’s long finish.
Ovid 2019 “Hexameter” Bordeaux Blend Napa Valley – 100 Points
$449.99
Jeb Dunnuck 100 Points: “Pure Napa Valley magic as well as a perfect wine, the 2019 Hexameter reveals a deep purple hue along with an incredibly complex bouquet of black raspberries, spring flowers, cassis, vanilla, and tobacco. This carries to a layered, full-bodied red with ultra-fine tannins, perfect balance, a deep, opulent mouthfeel, and an incredible finish. This is one of those wines where nothing is out of place, and while it already delivers pleasure today, it’s going to evolve for 20-25 years. The blend is 55% Cabernet Franc, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the balance is Merlot and Petit Verdot. Hats off to the team at Ovid for this incredible wine.”
La Sirena 2016 “Aviatrix” Methode Champenoise Blanc de Noir, Napa Valley
$89.99
Cirq 2019 Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley 96 Points
$229.99 $224.99
96 points Jeb Dunnuck: “From the Russian River Valley, the 2019 Pinot Noir is layered with spice and a perfume of incense, five-spice, and kirsch. The palate is elegant, with beautiful concentration all the way through, and offering notes of raspberry leather, forest herbs, and cedar. Hold 2-4 years and drink over the next 10 or more years.”

Paul Lato 2021 “Lancelot” Pinot Noir, Pisoni Vineyard, Santa Lucia Highlands 98 Points
$114.99
Jeb Dunnuck 98 Points: “I always find an incredible sense of minerality from this site, and the 2021 Pinot Noir Lancelot Pisoni Vineyard has bright red fruits, white flowers, crushed stone, and violet-like aromas and flavors. Rich, medium to full-bodied, tight, and structured, it’s flawlessly balanced and has a great finish. Hide bottles for 2-3 years and enjoy through 2033.”
Peay 2021 “Scallop Shelf” Estate Pinot Noir, West Sonoma Coast 99 Points
$89.99
Jeb Dunnuck 99 Points: “More mineral aromas emerge in the 2021 Pinot Noir Scallop Shelf, with notes of wet stone, black raspberry, and fresh herbs. Medium-bodied and more tension-driven, it’s taut with orange zest, clove, and gravelly, saline earth. It’s going to need time to unpack. Drink 2026-2046.”

Melville 2020 Pinot Noir “Terraces” Santa Rita Hills 95+ Points
$79.99
Jeb Dunnuck 95+ Points: “Coming from more clay soils as well as a west-facing hillside that gets pounded by the wind, the 2020 Pinot Noir Terraces boasts a deep, concentrated, age-worthy style as well as notes of darker fruits, roasted herbs, graphite, and black tea. This Burgundian, medium-bodied, balanced, structured beauty is well worth seeking out and, I suspect, will be one of the longest-lived in the vintage.
Vinous 95 points: “The 2020 Pinot Noir Terraces is terrific. Dense and vibrant, the Terraces captures the intensity of the year and yet retains notable energy, probably a combination of water-retentive, clay-rich soils and a mix of five clones (Swan, Mt. Eden, 115, 667 and 777) that lends layers and complexity. Red cherry, pomegranate, blood orange and exotic floral notes build into the persistent finish. Drink 2024-2032.”

Carte Blanche 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer , Napa Valley – 97 Points
$179.99
Robert Parker 97+ Points: “The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Featuring a deep garnet-purple color, it sashays out of the glass with gregarious notions of baked plums, warm cassis and blueberry compote with suggestions of kirsch, dusty soil and Indian spices. The palate is full-bodied and laden with bright, lively, energetic black fruits, supported with firm, super ripe tannins and finishing on a persistent exotic spice note.”

Jeb Dunnuck 94 Points: “A step up over the 2018, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is gorgeous juice, offering lots of cassis, tapenade, chocolaty oak, and spicy notes in a round, lush, sexy package. The tannins are first-rate, and this will last for 15 years. It’s well worth checking out.”
