Colgin 2018 Cariad Proprietary Red Blend Napa Valley 100 Points

$799.99

Vinous 100 Points: : “The 2018 Cariad is breathtaking right out of the gate. What a wine! Bright acids and beams of underlying structure give the Cariad tons of energy that really drives its feel. Effusive and vibrant in the glass, with tons of pedigree, Cariad is drop-dead gorgeous in 2018. Winemaker Allison Tauziet opted not to use Petit Verdot in this vintage, choosing instead to use a bit more Franc. I can’t really say the wine is missing the Petit Verdot, while the Franc seems to give added aromatic explosiveness. Then again, all of this fruit is sourced from David Abreu’s Madrona Ranch, a stellar site with a stunning array of clones, including some pretty magical Franc.”

Billecart Salmon 2009 Extra Brut Champagne 95 Points

$109.99

Robert Parker 95 Points: “Disgorged with two grams per liter dosage, Billecart-Salmon’s 2009 Extra Brut Vintage is more giving and demonstrative than its 2008 counterpart, offering up inviting aromas of crisp stone fruit, yellow apple, brioche, honeycomb, and warm pastry. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with a pillowy mousse and a generous core of fruit girdled by bright acids, it’s seamless and complete. Indeed, such is its charm and persistence that I tend to prefer it, at least for now, to the 2008.”

Hendry 2018 Bordeaux Blend “Red” Estate Napa Valley 95 Points

$49.99

FMW 95 Points: “Dazzling black stone fruit and chocolate aromas jump out of the glass on impact.   This Bordeaux blend offers deep dark color, with intense aromatics and concentration. The fruit is 100%  sourced from the Hendry Estate in the Napa Valley.  This Cabernet-based blend is concentrated, powerful, yet silky smooth, with a lush and creamy texture on the mid-palate offering up cacao, blueberries, and anise flavors, and its loaded flavors show intense depth,  that leads to a long but silky finish with fine-grained tannins. This wine is drinking well now and should do so for a decade.

$229.99

Jeb Dunnuck 97 Points: “A serious looking barrel sample, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard reveals a dense purple color to go with rocking notes of blackcurrants, smoked tobacco, damp earth, and chocolate. Gemstone 2018 “Heritage Selection” Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 95 Points

$144.99

Vinous 95 Points: “The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Heritage Selection, from the back part of the property, is plump, juicy, and full of character. Inky dark fruit, mocha, floral notes and spice. All the elements come together so nicely. Picking a bit earlier than in the past helps preserve freshness as well as energy. Time in the glass brings out the wine’s volume and resonance. The juicy, creamy style works well here. Inky dark red/purplish fruit, spice, rose petal, and new leather builds into the resonant finish. I find a bit better balance here than in the Alluvial Selection.

Clarice 2022 Pinot Noir “Rosella’s Vineyard” Santa Lucia Highlands 96 Points

$99.99

Jeb Dunnuck 96 Points: “The 2022 Pinot Noir Rosella’s Vineyard comes from a Grand Cru site in the heart of the Santa Lucia Highlands. It has a vivid bouquet of red and black raspberry fruits, black tea, spring flowers, and orange blossom that opens up nicely with time in the glass. This carries to a medium-bodied Pinot Noir with a seamless, layered texture, a beautiful sense of purity and precision, and a great finish. As with the appellation release, it will unquestionably offer pleasure in its youth, yet I suspect it will be even better with a year or two of bottle age.”

Limerick Lane 2020 Zinfandel Russian River Valley

$41.99

Mark Aubert’s Tasting Notes: “The alluring 2018 UV-SL is a kaleidoscope of apple oil, lemon confit, crème patissière, and almond croissant lined with a subtle saline note and a touch of talc. With air the tight-knit core grows to reveal seductive flavors of praline, stone fruit preserves, and white flower. Full-bodied and opulent, the compelling UV-SL finishes long and pure. This wine has more to reveal and will age gracefully for 10+ years. The wine is slightly hazy showing our commitment to minimal intervention winemaking.”

It’s rich, full-bodied, and concentrated on the palate, with a dense, rich, powerful, yet also focused style that stays graceful and elegant.
